Artificial Intelligence is present in a huge variety of areas, such as health care, the Automotive Industry, in Education, entertainment and many others.
Regarding health care, AI is a great support for doctors, as it may be able to identify skin cancers, help the doctors find the correct treatments for cancers, and maybe even in the future performing surgeries, possibility demonstrated by surgeons at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington where an autonomous robot performed a soft-tissue surgery under the supervision of the team.
In the automotive industry, we can almost instantly state some examples that showcase the presence of AI, such as self-driving cars, that are many times advertised on our TVs. Although self-driving cars may seem not that complex, in reality they have a lot different systems incorporated
into them, such as lane changing, collision prevention, managing the breaks, mapping and navigation.
The passengers’ safety is the main focus, and for that reason, AI must be programmed in such a way that it must be capable of handling high-risk situations properly, knowing what is the best action for each situation, as the street environment can be quite unpredictable.
Finally, regarding Education, AI is many times used nowadays in schools to aid student learning. AI is a tool given to students for them to conduct their own researches and inventions. It is also a great help for students with disabilities, providing them with what they need to achieve and even exceed everyone else.
